Del. Exhibit Reveals Jobs, Dress Of Early Odessa.
But a display of 60 illustrations at the Historic Houses of Odessa may go a long way to help residents and visitors envision the place as a real and working community.

Drawing from English artist William Henry Pyne”s book, ‘The Costume of Great Britain,’ published in 1805, the museum is sharing the stories behind the functional clothing of professional and working-class people of the time.

For example, an early 19th-century print of one of Pyne”s illustrations shows how tanners, such as prominent Odessa resident William Corbit - of whom no pictures exist - dressed at the time.

Spanning all walks of life, exhibit subjects include the fireman, the lamp lighter, the brewer, the lord-mayor, the milk woman and others Pyne studied and illustrated in detail.more

Only 50 to 60 buyers” agents are exclusively involved in the purchase of residential property in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, but the small number belies their growing popularity and influence in inner-city markets, despite the real estate industry having no hard data about how many purchasers use them.more
